If you have an appointment, you won't be there all day!

Sorry for the exaggeration of all day. It is more of an all day affair from a not being able to have the adults work.
Drop off at school 1
Drop off at school 2
Pick up at school 1 90 minutes later
Pick up at school 2 90 minutes later
Go to post office - wait and get 4 passport processed
Drop kids at school #1 and #2

Drive to work.

Why wouldn't you just skip the first four steps, take the kids to the 9:00 a.m. appointment slot.... drop them off at school by 10:00 and be on your way with your day.

+1. Some people go out of their way to make life hard. I wouldn’t take my kid to school for 90 minutes, and it’s 1/2 mile away!

Why do you avoid the post office? We've had two baby passports done at ours, and it's been really easy.

We did Saturday appointment at the Glebe Road 22204 post office in Arlington recently. It was a bit of a shit show as they were severely understaffed and also were not able to take the photos as I had planned due to a computer malfunction. We had to leave to get photos done at a CVS but they let us come back same day even after our slot had passed. In the end it took us 90 minutes (that includes the side trip to CVS and waiting upon our return). If we had brought our own photos we would have been in and out in 30 minutes.

Save time and money and do the pictures yourself at home. You don't need anything special- just a well lit blank white wall as background. Any modern smartphone camera is more than adequate with good lighting.

Use this site to properly size the picture. It creates a 4x6 size jpg file to print out 5 copies you can cut out.

Not everyone keeps photo quality paper at home. Not everyone knows a bad photo when they see it. State Dept can be very picky about photos.

For some, this would save a few bucks and not much time. For most people, it wouldn't save anything.

Jeez, right?!? Turn in some cartoons while you get dressed, then go to the library, post office, wherever.

OP, I bet you have anxiety issues.
