How to pack to prevent wrinkles (won't have an iron)

Anonymous
Fold the clothes carefully, then roll them well and pack things tightly so there isn't a lot of shifting around.

Unpack when you arrive and hang up anything that you want look unwrinkled immediately.

Synthetic clothing does not wrinkle nearly as much, so my blouses are normally just fine. Rolling the polos should take care of that too.

We're cruising too. Hang up clothes immediately. I'm going to bring extra hangers. I got Downy wrinkle release and packing cubes. You can also take a hair dryer to the wrinkle as you pull it taut.

I'll bet that they offer laundry /dry cleaning services on the ship. For formalwear, if there's enough time before the formal night, I'd consider getting it ironed/dry-cleaned on the ship.

I'd also be inclined to pack dressy clothes in a garment bag to minimize the wrinkling, but it sounds like that is not a packing option for you. Good luck!

+1. I was surprised what a difference this made when I started using tissue paper before folding my clothes.

The dry dry cleaners plastic clothes covers have some type of anti-wrinkling effect. Maybe place in these then roll.???

Are you really worried about your kids' polo shirts? Do you iron kids' clothes at home?

You need a vacation.

I never understood the suggestion to roll clothes. At a minimum you still have to fold a shirt down the center and fold the sleeves inward, and then you get concentrated wrinkles along the fold line when you roll it.

I just go with a straight fold -- down the center, fold in sleeves, then fold in half or thirds. Most wrinkles come out once you put the clothes on anyway.
