Reach out to admissions. That’s how our neighbor got in. Tell them you would do afternoon. The waitlist does move. Seriously though call and tell them you had your heart set on NCRC etc.

Ditto. Also, so much drama and craziness there right now.

Some of it involves the head of school change. There's a thread about it here: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/703426.page#12461917. Supposedly there's more to it, if you ask around.

Unnecessary comment.

Who cares! Teachers are amazing! Parents are great! School environment is awesome! Even with a new HoS these things won’t change. We love Val and I think all drama has been greatly exaggerated

So they've sent decisions? Ugh we did not hear anything.

Just heard and we were waitlisted. Anyone know if the waitlist actually moves for the Beehive class?

Our child got in off of the waitlist. We called and said we’d be happy to take an AM or PM slot and followed up with a nice email and hand written note. He was accepted about a week later.

How much do the wait lists move at Lfs and st John's (Brown room)?

From what I recall, mailed letter from LFS, email from NCRC.

To pp: What I hear is that LFS had a big applicant pool this year. Don't know if the waistlist will move, but there is one. Don't know about st. John's.

There's always a huge waitlist at LFS. It's a desirable school and families are typically very happy there so younger siblings (who have preference) take up some of the spots each year.
