Jeff, can you clarify--is there a policy against posting your legit question to more than one site?

Or do you know based on what the poster told you, IP addresses, etc. that this person was just reposting other peoples' posts?

With the caveat that it is difficult, if not impossible, to "know" very much about anonymous posts, there were multiple characteristics of the post and the poster that suggested that the poster was not legitimate.

There is no policy against posting on multiple sites. But, since we have had an ongoing problem of trolls posting on multiple sites (we sometimes find copies of a post going back years in various places) or reposting posts from other sites, such activity -- if noticed -- will likely be viewed as suspicious.

I am the famous troll and yes I did copy someone else’s post from reddit. I copy posts and repost to other websites, even from DCUM. Sometimes I post my own original posts on different websites. They can be recent, they can be years old. I even post years old posts on the same website. Someone once pointed out on reddit I post on multiple websites and to ignore me. I do copy posts from babycenter and from DCUM to other websites. I saw the post on reddit and wanted to see what people would reply on DCUM. I didn’t think people would notice the post came from reddit because they usually don’t. I actually copied a few posts from reddit and posted them here.

Not only did you steal someone else's words and story and repost them (gee, I'm sure they'd love that), but you also manipulated the emotions of any number of people who really were supportive of you. Get a job or something.
