2 pregnancies back to back, weight gain and a lot of stretch marks (VENT)

Yeah I mean...back to back pregnancies with no recuperation time and excessive weight gain are HARD on your body - I'm assuming you knew this, and had reasons for doing it anyways. Focus on those

You can still wear shorts- unless you were planning to wear short shorts. Bikini days are over.

I was under weight before my first pregnancy so all the weight definitely shocked my system. I have lost most of the weight but I still have ugly silver stretch marks literally everywhere.. my breasts, my hips, my stomach, my thighs, my inner thighs and even behind my knees. I thought I was going to look hot this summer but I don’t think I can ever wear shorts again I’m so depressed about this! My husband always says “who cares, it’s not that serious” but I care, a lot. I’m not one of those brave women that can show the world stuff like this without a care. I was extremely hot before having kids and now I’m disgusting and I can’t get over it!! What is the point of continuing to lose weight if I’m still going to have these hideous stretch marks EVERYWHERE

1. talk to the plastic surgeon, see what they can do about it
2. you were not going to be "extremely hot" forever. you need to find a way to make peace with not being a 10 (or even an 8)
3. if you cared about your looks so much, why did you gain so much weight?

OP, I grew incredibly quickly in puberty and had stretch marks by the time I was 13--while being very skinny. I could never wear a bikini in my whole adult life without showing stretch marks.

It's worth getting in shape to be healthy for you and the kids. Don't worry about what clothes you can and can't wear. Once you get to a certain age, shorts are the very least of your problems.

I've never felt comfortable in bathing suits or shorts, so I never wear them. My stretch marks have nothing to do with it. I'm a zero, I have a lot of muscle, but I am just not comfortable letting anyone see me dressed that way. If I go to the beach, I don't get in the water. I stay on the edge of the waves with my jeans rolled up to my calves. If you're not comfortable yet, wait until you are. There's no timetable that says you have to be able to dress a certain way.
