Roller shades, Faux wood blinds or Cellular shades ?

I have received estimates from Costco and another local company. Costco is offering cordless faux wood at 50% off.



Easy. What's to clean? You just close them (while they are fully extended ) and wipe a cloth or duster across them. They don't really need much.

I think it depends on the house. I’ve had both real wood 2.5 inch blinds and high quality roller shades in a thick raw silk fabric. I prefer the shades in my cottage because the divided pane windows competed with the blinds and looked busy. I used blinds in an old Victorian without divided panes and liked that too. Never cared for cellular.
