We do Turbo Tax. If you have even a basic understanding of taxes, I'd never use a tax prep place over turbo Tax. Even a CPA won't always be better - we had friends use a CPA and they happened to have medical expenses similar to ours that year and we claimed it on turbo Tax but their CPA didn't suss it out for them until we told them they should go back and ask. $1000.
Agree with the rec above that it might be worth paying a cpa for a year or two if you have something new and complex, lien rental income property if you haven't had it before.
