My teens are making me so unhappy!

I know how you feel, op. I once read an analogy about raising teens that I think about a lot - you are holding one end of a rope and your teen is holding the other end. Your job is to never let go of the rope even though they will tug, thrash around, and try everything they can to get you to let go. It doesn’t have to be pretty and it won’t be easy. Just keep holding the rope.
