| My 13 year old just watched Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy. Weird movie, but they had all read the book as well. |
|
Turner and Hooch should be a big hit at that age.
|
| My tween son and I just watched Jerry Maguire. Funny, sporty and super corny lines to try out on girls - what more could a tween boy want? |
|
OK... these movies don't really fit the OP's description, but I wanted to add them on in case anyone was searching for something to show tween boys...
Race to Witch Mountain (lots of action scenes, funny one-liners from Dwayne Johnson) Big Game (action adventure coming-of-age movie from Finland) My 11 and 12 year old boys loved both of them. |
|
Sneakers -- mostly spy/action movie with humor, no violence
We recently showed our tweens Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail -- we skipped the vestal virgin scene, the rest was appropriate for tweens. |
| Not a movie, but do these kids know about Studio C? Really great sketch comedy from BYU, so it's always clean. They release a short (5 min or less) sketch a couple times a week. My kids love them, and I think they are often really well done too. |
|
Mrs. Doubtfire (though be aware that a gay character is shown in a positive light, but very '90s stereotyped)
Sister Act |
|
Central Intelligence - Dwayne the rock Johnson and Kevin Hart - verging on inappropriate but really funny.
The Daddy's Home movies I had very low expectations for, but I'm just going to admit they both made me laugh out loud. Paul Blart, Mall cop? i Haven't seen it but my 9 year old watched both at a sleepover recently. |
| I just watched Remember the Titans. I highly recommend it. |
|
Porky's! It's a rite of passage for American boys.
If these kids are really soft, you could go with Adventures in Babysitting (original). |
I cannot think of a parent on this planet who would let their tween watch a movie like Porky's. It is trashy and not even funny trashy. |
| Coen Brotvers version of the Three Stooges. Hilarious. |
Awkward pervert movie and not funny. Animal House is still kind of funny but also a ‘no’ unless you want none of the parents to speak to you again (which might be nice). |
. Whoops - The Farrelly Brothers version of the Theee Stooges. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0383010/ |
You will literally die laughing - just try it. |
