is anyone playing/reading your music and poetry?

I dated a woman like this in college, she was insufferable. Her entire self esteem derived from how little she worked. Attractive women don't have to work, she said.

There are some winners out there, on both sides of the equation.

You made me think of an interesting question? Does anyone wonder what ever happened to the one they got away from?

Gardening, cooking, playing with the pets, drinking, listening to music, reading (both books and the endless internet), yoga

Sad, but true. Sounds snarky, but it stresses me out. Her mom was the same way back in the day, sitting on the couch for hours every night, staring at her handheld video games and watching Jeopardy or Wheel.

FWIW: Kids are grown, I do ALL of the chores (really). I guess I enable her, but I feel like if I give her enough time and space, she'll do something, but instead - nothing. I initiate everything (dinner, movies, sex). We've talked about it. She just isn't interested - in anything.

It's exhausting.

What are you getting out of this marriage and why are you still with her?

Lately: surfing DCUM, cooking on the fly, biting my tongue, playing with DD. On occasion, watching science programs on TV because it’s the middle of the night and I’m up with DD again. Oh, and working (from home). I do have a job I love.

If DH would watch DD when he’s supposed to: cooking better, sewing, knitting, yoga, running, weightlifting. I was into all these before And I miss them.

I'm not married to you, but just from reading this, if I were your DH I would answer "sitting on the couch watching TV".
