does anyone watch Hallmark xmas movies? I don't understand how I got addicted to them

I like the shots of people constantly sipping warm drinks in fake snow, walking around pretty small towns with impeccable decorations.

I'm a white woman who doesn't celebrate Christmas and I can't stand them.

It’s so funny because your first paragraph sounds like the start of a Hallmark movie:

“I am a city person, no kids, already happily married, Jewish, don't particularly like Xmas”

I know what you need! A romp to a small town that is obsessed with Christmas. Perhaps a man in flannel?

I watch them too! I think for me they are mindless entertainment and I find it charming that they are all G rated and have happy endings. I also like how the characters in the movies are always so kind. Kindness and decency are such underrated qualities in todays world (with Trump mouthing off about who knows what, etc.).

I have never tried them and snobbishly assumed they were beneath me, e as I scrolled by one in the the channel guide tonight (Rocky Mountain Christmas) and scoffed at them still being on on Dec. 29.

But you guys are kind of persuading me to try one...

My favorite this year were the single, widowed dads movies. The one with the travel writer that got stuck in the double booked cabin was so cute. Second place was the flight attendant that misses her connecting flight to Bali and ends up in the arms of the widower played by Tom Everet Scott. I only like them when the leads have obviously good chemistry.

Has anyone ever seen the one about the family of surgeons who lure their adulterous younger lovers into a weekend at the family estate, but then it turns out the surgeons transplant their own brains into their lovers' bodies to become young again? Anyone remember the name of that movie?

Was this a Hallmark movie? Sounds a little more like Lifetime! Or maybe the Sci Fi channel.

I really enjoyed two this year with Candace Cameron Bure. I never watched Full House so didn't really know who she was.

One was Journey Back to Christmas, sort of a time travel theme. She's a nurse from the 40's who ends up in our time.

In the second she plays a doctor who ends up in Alaska.

I miss some of the old Lifetime Christmas movies like Ebbie and Comfort and Joy.

Yes! My mother in law was here for most of the month and we watched hallmark movies. They’re rated G! What on TV is rated G!

FYI the double booked cabin one is called Christmas Getaway.

+1 I’ve always avoided this channel around Christmas as these movies preempt reruns of Golden Girls, but this thread has me intrigued.

Spoiler alert. This is a lame comment and not nearly as clever as you think.
