So this thread probably isn’t for you, no?

Dunno. I gather it’s near Baltimore and a step up from a community college.

It's a step down from Hopkins .

Very affluent and leafy part of Baltimore. Nothing like the Wire, although go too far eastward you will find the Wire.

Town - gown relationships with the surrounding neighborhoods are non-existent. There’s a little retail strip a few blocks away with bagels, coffee and some eateries. That’s about it.

Locally, the reputation was an uncomplicated college. Bright kids working hard will do well. Most kids are there for their BA and move on. Student body is dominated by UMC Catholic kids from the tri-state area. The degree is respected enough and lots of alums in the area.

I won't speak specifically to academics because I'm not sure what your child is seeking, but I loved the mix of having a beautiful campus set just outside the heart of a city. It allowed me to balance on-campus activities and socializing with exploring museums, sporting events, and other cultural offerings in Baltimore. It was so much fun to venture out to the Baltimore watering holes, including Mick O'Sheas for pints and live music. Loyola emphasizes "cura personalis" and your child's academics will include the humanities and community service and study abroad opportunities. The size of the student body allows you to get to know many of the people in your class, especially in your major, without getting tired of the same old people after four years. Finally, the facilities are state of the art.
