At Wilson, also Yale and Princeton, according to my DC.

This is amazing, because I'm heard that there's a lot of gloom at Sidwell and St. Albans this year.

First, honors for all. Next Ivies for all!

Keep hating on Wilson - that's just fine.
Congratulations to all of the kids who got into college so far! We've had a few Ivy admits so far!

Happy for Wilson kids, but you have to admit that "honors for all" is pretty lame-brained.

I know of two Yale admits from SWW, as well as Georgetown, Harvard, Caltech, William & Mary.

Are the kids "unhooked" -- versus any legacy, URM preference, etc?

Or athletes?

Anonymous wrote:You folks are so unbelievably racist. Update from DC, three kids from SWW got into Yale ED. Two were white. Do you just have to believe that your private-school kid must be better at all things, and that it's just reverse racism keeping them out of the top schools that DCPS kids are getting into? So obnoxious on so many fronts. The SWW kids are great kids and great students and the uninformed bullshit here makes me sad for our country. And, FWIW, I'm white.

Yale legacies? One URM.

Some kids go to Yale. And others go to the DC jail.

That's so funny I forgot to laugh. (Yes, your joke is so old that this is the only come back).

Thread about both schools.

Clearly what is lost in these threads bragging about certain schools is the point that you do not have to go to one of them to be successful in life nor do they guarantee success.

Is college only about future "success"?
Anonymous
The upbeat tone in this thread is in pretty stark contrast to the ones on same topic on the College and University board and the private school board.

That isn't lost because that isn't what the thread is about. It is a simple results poll.
