Bat place to stay in Acadia

We enjoyed being in Bar Harbor with our kids. We spent our days biking and hiking in the park. In the evenings it was nice to have walkable restaurants and stroll by the water with ice cream. Heated pool was good too. Can't remember the name of where we stayed.

I'm the PP who said it. Idk if it is weird that I said it, lol. Someone once mentioned it to me, and I saw it mentioned other places subsequently. Here is a blog post about it that I just found in a quick google search: http://ouracadia.com/blog/2012/05/06/maine-dilemma-were-planning-a-vacation-to-acadia-national-park-but-where-is-the-best-place-to-stay-on-mount-desert-island/

We’ve had good luck at the Bar Harbor Motel the last couple of years. It’s not fancy, but clean and very good for little kids - they have lots of two-room doubles, a little playground, free breakfast, and scavenger hunts/movies in the evenings. It’s also right across the street from the Dorr
museum which my kids LOVE.
