is the me-too campaign and all of these guys being outed going to change "romantic" movies?

Hollywood produces mostly trash. Trying to find a funny movie that 99% of the jokes are about sex or drugs or booze is impossible.

I feel sorry for all the good guys out there.

I wish good gals and guys meet and match well with each other. They deserve it.

Remember Revenge of the Nerds? Sexual assault scene where they make the victim so sexually enthralled that she ends up with her rapist.

I agree, and this is a good example. Movies have changed over time based on cultural norms. So of course, the movies will change, based on #metoo because how we speak will hopefully change; otherwise the story and dialogue will be off and the movie fall flat. Have you seen something like 16 Candles recently? Isn't that the movie where the cool guy passes off the drunk cool girl to Anthony Michael Hall, and they have sex, only drunk girl is too drunk to realize who it is? Can you imagine that scene being added today?

Why are you looking so hard for movies that are 99% about sex, drugs and booze?

Hollywood has been exposed as the Mecca of evil.

They can shut up about politics now. Hannibal Lecters opinion is more consequential .

Movies will evolve with cultural mores. They always have, and that's a good thing. We will continue to enjoy movies, as we always did. Human beings will always crave stories of love and sexual attraction, and their imaginations will that need.

I remember reading some pretty rapey romance novels growing up. You don't find those much any more, at least not giving rape the same treatment it gets today. The genre is no worse for the change. Movies won't be either.
