I'm puzzled, please help

Children that are read to, fed, put to bed on time, taught that education is an important value, taught not to diss classmates and teachers as a way to climb the social ladder. Children will be children, but parents have a choice. And I am not referring to money--plenty of poor parents imbue these values. Parenting makes a difference, long before/during/after the time when teachers take their shot.
