Those sound good and different. I like how this is turning into what we like to bring and what we like to get (or not) since they can differ. I also don't like getting choc chip. So plain and I can make better. |
No. I don't exchange cookies with people who have cats, or people whose homes I haven't spent time in. I know Nina washes her hands the second she comes home. I know Will cleans the counters before he begins cooking. I know Danielle doesn't put anything non-food-related on her kitchen counters. |
Peanut butter with kiss in the middle is a favorite of everyone
|
I usually bring this but not for work--one of my closest friends at work is deathly allergic to peanuts (can't even be in the same room as peanut butter). I'm going to try to make something with almond butter, like almond butter buckeyes. |

I'm Italian-American and I bring these...

Sorry, but I don’t like the these. They’re so blah. |
Gingerbread is on my list! I love making them almost as much as I love eating them. |
I'm embarrassed to say I have brought chocolate chip cookies to more than one exchange in the past. Now I do sugar and gingerbread. |

No, I'm not worried about it. I've never been sick from a cookie exchange, potluck, etc. |
Same. Least favorite. |
No, I meant in their own kitchen when they make them. You never know what's happening in other people's kitchens, what with the kids double-dipping, the dog, etc... And to the other poster, don't worry, I'm always polite if I get stuck in the vicinity of a cookie exchange and never let on that it grosses me out. I know it's my own hang-up! |
In restaurants you hope that the training has paid off, and usually I only eat in close friends' houses. Cookie exchanges are different - there are people I don't know that well. |
I am always amazed at this topic every year. Some Posters come across as so pretentious and bitchy. I thought the idea of these things is for fun and togetherness. Apparently the purpose is to judge everyone’s cookies (that sounds dirty). God forbid anyone dare bring a cookie like chocolate chip, that everyone loves. Now I am tempted to accept an invite and bring store bought chocolate chip cookies ; ) |
I love these and they are so pretty! |
