musically is a terrible app..
look it up on IG lots of girls posting belly dancing videos seems like lots of parents allow their kids to get these apps because they dont want their kids to be "left out " |
Lots of parents don't police kids phones, so there is no such thing as allow. I don't know a single parent or a single kid with phone rules. I only see it here and it's funny. |

Agree. It always amazes me how preachy the DCUM crowd is. Bunch of prudes. |
Oh i didnt know it was normal that 16 yr old girls can post belly dancing videos ... |
I don't think policing helps with that. |
I work in law enforcement, too, and I have Snapchat myself. I have never sent nor received nude pics
I think the bottom line is managing the friends list. Your kid wants Snapchat? Fine. Every so often you get to check their friends list. If you only want to allow her to be friends with her three best girlfriends, then that’s all that should be on her list. She doesn’t send/accept requests from anyone that isn’t run by you first. It’s like Facebook, Instagram, or anything else. As a prosecutor the times I’ve seen social media backfire are when kids friend strangers they somehow meet online, or when people break up in a relationship and someone posts their private stuff all over. But you can use any social media platform for that, honestly. |
