I just realized while reading this thread that my fave sweatshirt to do outdoor work in was from a college that I worked at and its a recruitment shirt for foreign students. I'm wearing it now and about to do the lawn!

I once got a deodorizer spray that removes the smell of decomposing human remains. I have boys, it has been useful!

Ice scraper. Still have that thing after many, many, many years!
Umbrella
A high quality thermos

Op here--thanks everyone! We are mixing up the swag we provide to newbies and settles on Swell bottles, fleeces and tote bags.

OP, favorite surprisingly for my husband was a really nice lunch bag and backpack for travel/laptop. He has to travel a lot so a nice travel duffle bag would be cool too. We'd have no need for tote bags, but a fleece, polo shirt or button down (for men) are always nice.

Best swag.. he went out to a worksite and the guy he helped gave him an echo.

His current company doesn't really do swag - its gross as they want him to wear company clothing to the worksite and they want you to buy it and only from Landsend. Wearing the polo's is free advertising so I'd say polo's and things like a lunch box and backpack (or nice bag for women).

Oh, he also got a bunch of really nice fidget spinners.

I guess the best was a portable charger.

Lots of similar stuff from DH's Big Law firm.

Another branch of my organization doles out fleeces with the name of their work area on them. They are widely coveted in my branch.

We have some nice retirement swag, but hardly anything during our work years.

Weirdly, I like the logo polo shirt with my name on it. It's handy to wear to kid's stuff after work because other parents know my name.

Best I ever got in terms of usefulness was a custom branded Nespresso machine. Kinda cool team gift.

Goldman gave me some nice stuff ages ago, but it's just clothes.

I launched a new brand this summer and gave out Bluetooth speakers with Amazon Alexa, moleskine, and a $100 credit to purchase apparel or a backpack (most people got 2-3 items depending on their choices).
