Teen argues about the littlest things

Always amazing how DCUM responders to posts are the perfect parents with all the right answers. It’s so easy to be a perfect parent with a perfect kid. I’ve got one like that and also a tough one, so I know both sides.

Op ~ I remember this argument.
Math done in pen always and the only year an A in Math was possible became a B due to stubbornness and his inability to anticipate needing a pencil.

I haven't looked st my kids homework since she was 6 - 6th grade is pretty far up the chain too, you should have stopped years ago too.

Leave the kid alone! I remember being lectured by my parents also about using pencil for math. I hated pencils then, I hate pencils now. I do everything in black ink because I like the way it feels to write and it doesn't smear like pencil. If these are the big problems you have with a teen, you are pretty lucky!

That's great that your kid figured this out on the early side. Not all do.
