Yeah, that's a good hotel - not the same as the one on Sidewinder. |
| dining options around park city will be much cheaper, if that makes a difference |

With considering that the two hour drive to Vail from Denver has parts that can be treacherous if snow is falling.
|
| your dates might coincide with Sundance in park city. That could be fun because you can get tickets to some of the movies. It also would explain the higher price (relative to vail, which is typically more expensive). For what it is worth, the slopes tend to be less crowded around then because most visitors are there to participate in sundance activities. |
| PP here. Just wanted to add that is meaningfully easier to travel to Park City. I70 in Colorado can be treacherous during winter, and traffic is brutal during holiday travel times. |
| OP. We leave the day Sundance starts. We had to modify our dates because of Sundance - most of the lodging was already booked and the few VRBO's I called also had a 7 day minimum during and special Sundance pricing $$$$. |
| OP. Decision made and air to SLC purchased! We like going to new places each year so maybe Aspen, Telluride, Jackson or Vail next time! |
