For an extra 8 hours, you get much more job security, plus I bet you can figure out a telework or AWS schedule to increase flexiblity.

Congratulations! And yes, I’m sure they’ll work with you on flexibility. As someone mentioned earlier, they can’t make you part-time or they’ll lose the FTE and won’t get it back after you leave.
