The average engineering or pre-med student at UVA and VATech likely has a 3.0 (or below) average. The average Arts and Science student in the humanities at UVA likely has 3.5 GPA (or higher). That same humanities student at Tech and William and Mary is probably around 3.3. |

Sure, but the "conventional wisdom" is that W&M is a meat grinder where students toil to get mediocre grades, and it turns out it's no different than peer institutions. |
