It’s mouse droppings. We bought a commercial building and gutted it. The layer of dried mouse droppings was appalling. Get someone qualified to remove it. |

OP here. I cleaned them out already, so uploaded are pictures that I find on the internet that looks like it.
Does that look like drywood termite dropping to you? |
It could be termite droppings.
I'd call an inspector if I were you. This doesn't look good. |
It's not powderpost beetles. They leave a sawdust colored texture, not black dust.
Just call a few bug guys to come out. They'll usually inspect for free. |
I think it's definitely some sort of pest droppings. Call a few bug companies to come out for an inspection. |
OP here. I just call for a bug company. They told me there is no drywood termite existing in Maryland, and they told me it is probably dusts. Anyways, I ask for a free termite inspection scheduled, and they say they would only look around the house & the basement, and they are not going up the attic. Hopefully, I can ask them to take a look at my bedroom crack where those black dusts falling from, and tell me if it is not termite, what are those possible pests are. Is it true that those inspector does not go up attic to look for termite or pests because it is a free inspection and it is too much work?

It's probably a liability issue for the pest control guys. |
They don't have to go up. Just show them the "dust". |
Soot is my guess. Even if you don't have a fireplace if there are fireplaces in homes near yours you will get soot.

I think it's termites. I'd join Washington checkbook and find a good pest control company. |
