Why so many padded/push up bras?

Because they still have nipples.

Same here. Natori also has some good ones, and you can find them on sale.

I was an A cup before breastfeeding. 34A. I definitely had breasts. I was a size 0, small overall, so they were perfectly in proportion to my body. When trussed up into a very lightly padded balconnette bra, i ended up with a nicely curved figure. No one would ever have said i was flat chested.

You all realize that cup size isn't static, right? There is no such thing as just one size A cup. Cup volume is dependent on band size.

Am I the only one that thinks mesh materials are better at hiding nipples than padding. I swear nipples can show through just about anything and padding outlines are awful too. But sometimes a stretch fabric will do the trick. This is the last bra I purchased and it is about as close to unpadded as I could find in an everyday bra, but really it's the power mesh layer I bought it for:

I just remember underwire bras like this actually work quite well for up to maybe C cup and are very good at smoothing without padding. But there's nothing remotely like this today.

Because we have breasts. I don't want to have pointy little breasts sticking out of my shirts.

I had bras like this in the 90s and loved them. Now almost all bras have foam cups.

Why is everyone in dcum world so terrified that they might convey the fact that they have nipples? I have never heard of this fear before this site.

OK, I didn't used to give a damn about nipples, but after having children the odds that my nipples are siting at approximately the same level is no longer 100%. So am I going to spend part of my day making sure my nipples are properly arranged or am I going to choose underwear such that no one but me knows about any of this? I choose the latter.

I don't like any lining in my bras. Just lace or silk. I don't see the need to hide the fact that I have nipples.

We don't need to signal to everyone when we're cold or sexually aroused.

This. And sometimes warmth. Appreciate all the bra suggestions!

One of the guests on Fashion Police said just because you are small, doesn't mean you don't need support. His reaction to Gwyneth: "Chicken cutlets! Chicken cutlets!"

x10000

not to mention, the extra padding looks ridiculous!
