True, although it's his daughter, not him, who is in charge of Mylan. He does represent a state which has been devastated by opioid addiction and was mentioned a number of times in the 60 Minutes report. At one point pharmacies in Mingo County, WV, population around 20,000, were in receipt of literally millions of pills by corrupt pharmaceutical distributors.

It's a shame this kind of reporting took so long while the opioids epidemic raged on. It would've been helpful when Obama was president too.

The Republican Congress pushed it through and misled their colleagues about what it did. DEA opposed but the drug industry has spent a decade paying big bucks to get the best DEA lawyers to switch sides (career feds, not political appointees). As a result the DEA shifted to a more industry friendly position and the hard asses who went after the big companies were marginalized and/or pushed out. The Obama White House deferred to the DEA and did not realize the revolving door had compromised the agency.

That's easy. Work to get Democrats elected in the House and Senate in 2018. They will impeach and remove POTUS, and will make it impossible for the Republicans to appoint another arch conservative to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court can overturn Citizens United, so let's all get to work on electing Democrats!!
