He has given this a fraction of the attention that three three hurricanes got. He tweeted out a halt tweet about national farmers day wile Californian farms and wineries burned. |
And while he may have mentioned it he has not tweeted or given an official statement on California (ie, not just a talking point in a speech about something else |
| So is a tweet the new criteria to show that he cares? Such asinine comments - and I don't even like Trump. There is plenty to fault him on legitimate issues without focusing on nonsensical concerns. |
| Trump is happy that Napa valley and Sonoma have burnt to a crisp because it means more business for Trump winery. |
California didn't vote trump, let them burn.
|
It's nonsensical to be concerned that the POTUS is not giving a catastrophe in California the same amount of attention that he gave catastrophes in Texas orFlorida?? |
Yes. With trump a tweet is absolutely the new criteria to show how much he cares. I don't think the devastation is California is a nonsensical concern. |
| He doesn't care about California, its dead citizens, or the devastation. |
CA didn't vote for Trump. Why should he give a f--k? You didn't really think he was POTUS of anyone besides his base did you? BTW! Can anyone name a place Trump has visited, besides Puerto Rico, that 1. He does not own or 2. Is not in the heart ofTrump country? I can't. He spent the night at the tower he owns in NYC, and look how that turned out. We officially have a President who is afraid of major metropolitan areas. And New England. Sad! |
| Can't wait until we see the Cantalonia of California. Poor Cali will be begging for international help with its neighbor to the east. |

http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/10/politics/mike-pence-california-fires/index.html So, what is more important people? That he tweets about it, or approves federal aid for the area impacted. In other words, is it more critical that he talks about it or actually does something about it? You all have been so conditioned by the last 8 years of Obama waxing eloquently about topics, but not actually doing anything. I would rather have action than words. |

California resident who really doesn't care what Trump says/doesn't say...and for goodness sake I absolutely don't want him to come here!!
Yeah, his lack of interest in our state is noticeable...but he's been pretty clear he isn't our POTUS since day 1. I'm glad that the Federal government will function and help us fight the fires and rebuild. But I DO NOT CARE what the man currently occupying the WH says. |
| I hear he's meeting with the President of California today. |
Both are important. And declaring it a disaster is the bare minimum. They need to get the same relief measures TX, FL, and PR are getting. AND yes they should get a visit from the pres so he can throw some toilet paper at them and express some sympathy. It is only in the world of trump that I think a tweet is important but for this administration it is absolutely a bellweather of what he thinks is important |
They are. http://www.oesnews.com/california-secures-additional-federal-aid-for-napa-and-sonoma-county-residents-impacted-by-wildfires/ Face it. Nothing Trump does or will do will ever be enough for you. He could personally go to California, extinguish all the fires, personally rescue everyone who is in danger, provide them a new home and income for life, and it would not be enough. |
