Shortest time you have been at a job

2 weeks. It was a horrible nanny experience when I was in college.

6 months. It was a for a small family business full of psychos who brought all of their family dysfunctionality to the office. Never again.

3 weeks. Insane defense contractor.

One week. It was a regular professional job, but then I got an offer from another organization I had interviewed with around the same time for substantially more money. I felt kinda guilty.

Wow. Maybe I got lucky? My shortest stint was 16-months.

Like once a year I look up the glassdoor reviews on my former awful-human of an employer. They're deeply satisfying. I've been gone 10 years.

Less than a week at two different daycare centers when I was in college. I just couldn't handle the way the kids were treated.

Sex work in college. Only lasted a few nights.

One month. Writing was on the wall (owners wife disliked me) it was really difficult and underpaid. Found a higher paying job that was a much better fit a month later!

5 months. It was awful and I left without another job lined up. I have been at my current job for 14y so I don't worry about that one blimp. Clearly, I am not a hopper (previous jobs were 2y and 4y.)

4 hours. I was about 20 and took a landscaping job. It was pouring and 48 and I quit.

Three days programming cash registers, college summer. I am serious nerd, but that job was ridiculously awful and mind numbing. Just left at lunch, never came back. No pay but absolutely work it.

Found a better job a week or so later.

3 months new job at a special needs school. Was spit on, hit, head butted and my student tried to wipe his shit on me. I knew what I was getting myself into but 2 of my family members passed away it was a lot to take it and fake it at school and be strong. Luckily the classroom director was understanding about my situation.

One day. I took the job w/ an interview in one city and then went to start the job in Chicago. I met the boss and knew right away that I needed to leave.

I've been at my current job for 8 months and I'm trying to stick it out for at least a year. I won't leave without something else lined up and I just can't deal with job searching again. The job sucks but the commute is FAR better than what I left.
