Coping with wealth disparity within families?

One of 3 siblings here, and I make by far the most money. But my brothers do ok, and live a slightly above middle-class life (think public school teacher, etc.). It's never been an issue though. I don't live a lavish lifestyle (live well below our means). I'm not sure why it would be "so difficult". Why should it matter?

I have a SIL like this. She deals with it by mooching off DH's parents, because she knows they won't let her daughters grow up without. She, on the other hand, can't keep a job (doesn't want to, more like) and spends all her money on herself. They give her cars, pay her rent, pay for vacations.

We avoid her like the plague because she's batshit, not because she's poor. I wish we could just take the kids before the crazy ruins them. They are already traumatized by her self-destruction. (she has BPD)

His other sister was in a low-paying job before, and we paid for her to visit/come on vacation with us a lot of the time because she's awesome. She married well and is fine now though, doesn't need us to do that any more.

i have an older sister. monetarily I am doing better in terms of net worth and income but not by a huge order of magnitude. sadly though it does get to her and she always compares herself to me when I never really see the point. I will raise my kids to not be competitive against each other
