Both my DCs took the SAT in Feb/Mar of junior year. Both did well enough to be one and done. They did the SAT subject tests in June of the year they took the appropriate class (sophomore or junior year). APs were in May. That way they did not have to have back to back to back tests in May/June. Use the PSAT sophomore year to determine weaknesses and have them work not horse over the summer before junior year. USe the junior year PSAT or praise ASAt?ACT tests to see if more practice needs to be done- do that over junior year Winter Break. DOn't have them take the test over and over u the points a little bit. If they are in your target range- stop. Small shifts upward will not make it or break it. The rest of their "resume" will do that (GPA/rigor of courses, ECs)

| DS took practice PSAT in 10th grade. Used those scores to practice over summer using Khan Academy. Started SAT/ACT prep class in Sept, which should help with PSAT in October, Nov. 4th SAT, and December 9th ACT. |
