| I had a unicorn Trapper Keeper and I traced it over and over again. Definitely no wings. |
| A unicorn with wings is an Alicorn, able to harness unicorn magic and the flight of the Pegasi. So a unicorn costume cannot have wings. |
This is the correct answer. |
|
So my daughter taught me from My Little Pony... |
I also learned this from My Little Pony. My daughter thought I was an idiot when I asked her why Twilight Sparkle had wings now. I also have extensive knowledge of the Pixie Hollow fairies and how Elena got out of Sofia's amulet. |
Well now here's the problem. Princess Cadence has wings. So maybe most don't, but the most well known to kids that age does have wings. |
|
But Cadence is a princess... I think all the royalty are alicorn (Cadence, Celestia).
Twilight was just a unicorn until she became a princess and then she got her wings. My girls would know for sure but they are both asleep. I also want to add that I've watched way too much My Little Pony. |
Where is the PhD of unicorns when we need answers? |
How do you know unicorns have wings as no one has ever seen one. |
|
Just a moment. Why does the offspring of a unicorn and a pegasus have both a horn and wings? I believe if you apply the logic of Mendel and his peas, only 1/4 of the offspring would have both. Half would have some combo, and 1/4 would look like (gasp) a normal...dare I say it? equine.
Unless, of course, there was some averaging, so you could have 1/2 of the foals with tiny horns and tiny wings... Do we know if either the horn or the wing gene is recessive? That would further complicate things. |
Ooh, hello, fellow geneticist. This discussion is getting interesting. I believe Unicorns, being mythical creatures, do not have Mendelian genetics. |
| Of course |
No wings. Just ice cream and rainbows.
