Democrats shouldn't be so quick to rejoice. Everyone who has gotten into bed with Trump has woken up with fleas. |
Sessions already perjured himself in his appointment testimony to the Senate. He needs a pardon. |
Or immunity from Mueller if he flips. |
It would be 100% in keeping with trump's character (or lack of character) to pull something this vindictive. |
Yep, shows his true (immature) character. He's never grown out of a middle school mentality. |
I don't know about Dems, but as a former R turned I then turned D because of Trump, I really don't care who wakes up with fleas. TBH, they all have fleas already. But, as PPs have stated, this move just reinforces what many of us already knew... that Trump is a vindictive little conman who doesn't care about ideology. He sways with the wind, and he likes winning. There was an article that stated he was so happy that MSM was finally portraying him in a positive light. He's on a "high" from it, and you can bet he's going to want to go back and take a hit every so often. He's obssessed with MSM. He watches it all day. He only hates them because they don't paint him with a positive brush. But now, he's gotten a taste of the positive coverage, and he's eating it up. |
OP Here. I read this yeasterday night. What a timing - I have been thinking about this as soon as I saw trump's tweet and posted this yesterday. Now it seems it is all true - what a petty little person trump is! |
PP who posted the NYT article here. I was debating whether it deserved its own thread, but it jived so nicely with yours! Also relevant: attempts by Kelly to stem the leaks from this White House have been unsuccessful. |
OP here. I am hearing rumor that Bannon is the leaker. |
Please. Don't take it out of context--and learn what perjury really is. |
Maybe Sessions has an itsy bitsy, teeny weeny, miniscule dot of conscience and love of country. As long as he is AG, Mueller investigates without interference but if he resigns, t-rump appoints one of his cronies who will interference. |
Sen. Al Franken (D-Minnesota) doubled down Friday his accusation of perjury against Attorney General Jeff Sessions, re-asserting that the Alabama Republican and the nation’s top lawyer lied to Congress during his confirmation hearing earlier this year. “I think he did not answer truthfully under oath,” Franken said according to Mediaite. [Meet the Press host Chuck] Todd reiterated, asking if Franken thought Sessions had lied to Congress during his confirmation hearing. “Yeah, I think he did,” Franken said. http://www.newsweek.com/sessions-franken-lie-623977 |
