moving every thirty minutes at your desk job?

I have days where I don't get up for hours. I saw the study today and set my stop watch to go off every 30 minutes as a reminder to get up and move. It worked.

Ugh, I read that and it made me realize that it is basically impossible for anyone who actually has work to do. I mean the article suggests every 30 minutes you go on a brisk walk. It is great if people can do it, but impossible for a lot of us.

It depends completely on your job, and not on having "work to do." If you choose a sedentary job, you're not going to move. Part of why I love teaching Pre-K is because it's full of movement and near-guaranteed outdoor time on a daily basis.
