Do you know anyone who slept their way to positions or degrees?

What about what you did? You made choices, right?

A person in a position of authority and a decade and a half of more experience has greater responsibility in a situation as outlined above.

I find it odd how women with communications degrees somehow become managers, directors, and then executives of IT departments, with no IT experience.

I agree; I know someone who is the chief of accounting with zero background and no degree. Her degree is in Biology.

I am woman and the PP. I have been an individual contributor because I wouldn't dare apply for a management position in a field where I lack experience.

Agreed. And in recognition of this most universities now have rules about professors not having relationships with students.

Sort of.

My aunt tried to use the casting couch to boost her entertainment career in LA, but the men never delivered on their end.

I know a woman who has gotten at least 2 of her managerial jobs by sleeping with the CEO of the company. Supposedly her much younger husband knows it too.

One course isn't a degree. And any course with a TA is by nature a low level undergrad course. Your DH would need to blackmail about 60 more people to earn his degree through the roommate's dalliances.

I am a contractor in the Federal government and I know one Federal employee who slept with one supervisor and was moved into a better position shortly thereafter (not sure if there was a step or GS increase involved, but it was definitely a lot more responsibility and a more interesting role). The same employee, the following year, was promoted into a different office because she was sleeping with the Chief of Staff over there. Oh, and during this time, she got engaged and was planning her wedding. She's now been married for a while and has a 4 year old. Such a ho.
