We have only used the powder.
A friend told me she used the pre-mixed with her son and he got so used to it that when she tried to switch to the powder to save money and to not have to haul all the cans around, he wouldn't drink it. I find it so much more convenient - you can bring the powder measured out in one of those little dispenser thingys and a bottle with the water measured and prepare it whenever you need it. By the way, you may also want to consider getting baby used to drinking it cold/room temperature. I BF my son and only give bottles to supplement but as I did with my daughter, I warmed them only a tiny bit at first and then stopped warming them so you can feed it wherever, whenever with no fussing.... |

Just like a pp said, the cans of many formulas contain BPA, but Similac powder comes in plastic that is safe. Already prepared formula is the worst in terms of BPA exposure. All of this information is available on the Environmental Working Group's website: ewg.org
