I was 125 pounds when I got pregnant with my oldest. I was 150 pounds when she was born. I was 145 pounds when I got pregnant with my twins (5 months after my oldest was born). They were born 18 months ago, and I am still 140 pounds.
I don't think my body wants to let go of this weight, but I'm not sweating it too much. My weight is within the normal range for my height. Don't diet while pregnant. Just eat healthy foods and get adequate exercise and sleep. |

I went into my second pregnancy 10 lbs above my pre pregnancy weight. Gained 40 lbs during my second pregnancy. Seven months after my second I was below my baby number 1 pre pregnancy weight. Chasing around an energetic toddler and caring for an infant is no joke. What helped me was eliminating processed snack food from our home and only allowing myself to eat fruit for the in between meals hunger pains from breast feeding. I would also make a salad after the kids went to bed to eat for lunch the next day. This way I wouldn’t grab something quick and unhealthy. I’m a runner and I resumed physical activity both times but it was really the dietary changes that made a difference for me.
I guess my point is...don’t stress. Enjoy your pregnancy. You will be able to take the weight off. It’s hard but you can do it. |
