Men, would you date a woman who had been a stripper?

Anonymous
No. I wouldn't respect her.

I'm a woman and I"ve dated women who stripped, who were feminists and trying to get by in a messed up system-trying to fund college, etc. (And both had normal bodies.)

Depends on the woman. If she is honest about who she is, why not?

I know one like this too!

I wouldn't date a current stripper. I might date a woman who stripped in the past, but has definitively moved on.

That's assuming that she doesn't have a bunch of stripper related baggage. A lot of strippers seem to have unhealthy perceptions of men.

At my age she would be younger than my daughters, unless she was dancing at some seedy biker bar, so no, I wouldn't.

Not just "no", but HELL NO!!!!!

They are broken human beings. Truly, seriously, damaged people. I don't care how attractive they might be, they are deeply troubled inside.

No. They might be good people in many ways, but the mercenary approach to sexuality they develop is a disqualifier.

Because you don't stick your dick in crazy.

No more than any other profession. Actually the most effed up people I know are all lawyers. That includes a very dear friend of 25 years.

Is this really unique to strippers, though?

I think they go for the dudes with money. One of my best girlfriends was a dancer, now married to a lawyer.

Hah, well. Unfortunately, I'm not the type of lawyer with a lot of money. Just a county seat practice in the Midwest. Stable work, nice house in a pleasant neighborhood, lets me get home by 5:30 most days. But not much flash.

I think so. The explicit cash-for-sexual-favors thing is a quantum leap. No one's motives are entirely pure, of course, but I think that is a big difference.

probably would
