We did walk in at Brentwood. Very short wait and smooth process.

Also did it as a walk in at Brentwood. 2 hour wait on a Saturday, worse if you arrive in the morning. Once you get to an agent, it is a smooth process. They don't take credit cards. Checks or debit cards are okay.

Try the walk in office at 600 19th Street.

I have tried to make an appointment for years at FHPO. They have yet to answer the phone.

Just wait until 2 weeks before travel and go the the passport office downtown. Easy appointment online, and if travel is within a few days you'll get it that day. Otherwise you'll have to go back to pickup.

You'll pay more but it's way easier than the PO.
