some crate and barrel is made by mitchell and gold, and is less expensive. (at least as of a few years ago)
This is correct. Lee makes the room & board ones. |
Lee does outdoor furniture for Room & Board, not indoor. |
I agree with Crate and Barrel, Basset, Pottery barn and Mitchell Gold.
Room and board. I fall asleep on my sectional from there all the time. Super comfy and looks great. On their website you can search by how deep and how soft the seats are. Also they usually have the sofas available in the stocked color in only a week. They have a nice store on 14th st if you want to check them out in person.
Mitchell Gold Bob Williams. They have a showroom on 14th Street in DC.
La-Z-Boy! They are not all overstuffed recliners. They have a showroom on 14th St. My inlaws have a sectional from them and it's very comfortable.
believe quality has gone down hill, use to be good.
I got a couch from there two years ago and it still looks perfect - no sagging cushions, etc. My kids and I went to the showroom in Fairfax and sat on every couch, chose the Kennedy. Price is great! |
What do you mean by "reliable"?
We LOVE our Ethan Allen sectional and it's held up very well with pets and kids.
I've had two crate and Barrel sectionals and they have both held up very well. I think they offer good value for the price.
We have a microfiber large sectional with chaise from Bloomingdale's that has held up over 11 years and three moves (one overseas). Those sale circulars were the thing back then and I used a coupon for purchase. I would certainly buy there again.
What do retailers mean when they say that the frame is eco-friendly? Is that code for cheap processing?
Most of our furniture is Henredon. Great quality.
