Honestly, it's probably worth it for you if your kids will use the kids academy programs. Once your kids are 3 and can do all the classes, and you can leave them and go offsite it's a great value imo. I don't have kids the age of yours, so it's hard for me to say whether your kids would enjoy the activities or if they are too old.
The primary reason I quit is because lifetime would not allow a caregiver to come in and take my kids to the pool without purchasing that person their own separate monthly membership at $80/month. Plus, we have an infant now and the infant care was not comparable to what is offered to the preschool age crowd. We went from using it constantly to never being able to use it, and when our nanny couldn't even take the baby swimming without jacking up the bill even more, that was kind of the deal breaker in my mind. If they changed that policy I would rejoin again.. and I may anyway wheny infant is older.
Why would they change the policy to allow a non paying member to use a club resource? If your nanny could take the child to the pool without actually needing to use the pool herself then sure. Since they require family members to have memberships they clearly do not allow proxy use of the facility. So your Nanny would not be allowed to drop the kid off in the facility daycare and go and use the equipment with your card either. The pool is no different.
