I don't. When I lay down the law, i.e. cutting off her phone and ground her and whatnot, she might listen for a couple days and then she'll run off to her friends' houses. Everything is supplied by the friends, and they also do her piercings

If she's still grounded, how is she doing this? If she's doing it right after the grounding is over, you just need to keep grounding her. And grounding her. Yes, it's exhausting, but that's what you need to do. Also, you need to call the parents of the friends who are piercing her and let them know that this is happening....don't blame them, just let them know and talk to them.

Rehab sounds a little hasty. Has she been seen by her doctor? I would call them too and get an appointment ASAP.

Thank you so much. I agree, a therapist may be better. I'll do what you suggested and and try to get the numbers of the parents and call

Honestly, I would probably pack up the family and move to a farm somewhere. And at the same time, get her involved in other productive stuff ASAP to build up her sense of self worth and confidence without needing to get it from those types of kids. But the farm thing would be happening like tomorrow.

When my brother came home with a piercing my father didn't like, he made him stay on the front porch until he took it out. If he didn't take it out, he wasn't allowed in the house. May seem harsh- but nothing you are doing/aren't doing is working.
