Kings of Convenience. A good song to try is 'Homesick' on their album Riot on an Empty Street)

Indigo Girls - especially their early stuff. A good dong to try is "The Wood Song" on the Swamp Ophelia album.

Second Simon and Garfunkel and the Indigo Girls. The Milk Carton Kids have a similar, updated Simon and Garfunkel vibe.

For trios, try the Roches (sublime harmony) and the Wailin' Jennys.

Looking for more suggestions myself.

Or that the original request was for male/female or female/female. So much as I love Simon and Garfunkel, they don't fit the bill.

I think Alex and Sierra do great (check out youtube for "X Factor Alex and Sierra").

There are some great duos on "The Voice" in the battle rounds like

I watched the movie Bolt with my kid the other day. John Travolta and Miley Cyrus have a duet on the soundtrack. It's pretty cheesy.
