Interesting. I would not consider this a particularly large school. Probably because that was what my school was like growing up and what my older DD's school has been like. There are about 500 kids total in her K-6 FCPS elementary. There are other local schools more than twice that size.

The upside to having multiple classes per grade level is that there is more opportunity to get a better teacher fit. I have found for my kid that some teacher personality types/styles are a better fit than others, so having some options at each grade is a good thing IMO.
