What do you think of Taylor Swift's absence from public life?

Maybe she's in love.

I think she's struggling to produce her next album. The bar is set high for her, and she simply can't produce an album at the same level.

Or maybe she's in treatment for an eating disorder or addiction?

In truth, her absence is just as curated as her formerly very public presence was - the fact that she has been able to basically disappear, from the most part means that this was always a possibility for her and that all of her appearances over the past several years have been very, very planned. I guess I'm somewhat fascinated by how fastidious and calculated she is about her image - it's quite brilliant, and a huge part of her success. And of this at such a young age.

I was never a fan until my DD became obsessed with her latest pop album, and now I get her appeal. But I'm more interested in her public persona and how she has so masterfully managed it - from her very curated appearances with her famous friends to her romantic relationships (there are rumors that she was the "beard" for several of them, but who knows).

Am I the only one that finds her very interesting, beyond her music?

I don't.

And yes you are.

I think she is a great performer and find some of her songs catchy. But I find her very similar to Beyoncé in the sense that they both seem quite empty. Beyoncé puts on a phenomenal show but never seems to show much of her own voice and doesn't have much authentic personality, IN MY OPINION. in the same way I think TS is very guarded and also seems like all show no substance. They are still very talented.

Smart Lady. She's overdue to have an album drop. And during her last tour, she was overexposed, and it seemed like she was everywhere. Her next album will probably do much better if people have a break from her for a while.

Don't most singers/bands do this?

They're VERY visible when they're promoting a new album, releasing singles, and touring. The goal is to get as much attention as possible to drive interest and sales. Then after the tour ends and the album rusn its course, they disappear for awhile -- falling out of the public eye to rest, regroup, and eventually record a new album. Then the cycle starts again and we start seeing them everywhere (in TS's case, this involves all sorts of boyfriends, squabbles with others in the music industry, and asosrted gossip.)

Seems to me this is the quiet/down part of TS's cycle. Her tour ended (I think) and she doesn't have songs left on the charts anymore. Guessing she's laying low and enjoying a more quiet life until she has to get out there and start "selling" again.

She and her entourage are in Newport RI at her mansion.

I think she started the pose.for the camera with the fake surprised open mouth look. For that I will always despise her.

I think it's good for her.

Basically, it's punishment to all the people who love to tear her down. Both the "haters" and people who are just casual pop culture consumers who have bought the "Taylor Swift is a calculating snake" misogynistic garbage.

So... she's recused herself. You don't get any more pictures, you don't get any insider info, you get NADA.

And then you see threads like this, of even none fans wanting her back because she has not given them any drama to deconstruct and talk about.

She's smart in that way, and knows her worth and the value of pictures/information about her life.

When you become so associated with the Kardashians it's probably a good idea to take a step back before you lose your soul entirely

She was being attacked by a bipolar person who eventually had a nervous breakdown and was hospitalized for months. So, it makes sense to not engage.

BTW I have empathy for him and his battle with his many mental illnesses.
