Traveling to Shanghai. Tips?

Also, I'm not sure if this is something you are interested in or not...but I am very interested in history; in particular I am interested in immigration history and the holocaust.

Did you know that Shanghai was one of the few places that was willing to accept Jewish refugees in WWII? I had no idea until I was researching things to visit in Shanghai before I went.
