Do friendships open up in MS for rising 6th graders?

Op here. Thanks and I was hoping there might be a few that had tough ES years with the friendship situation and things improved moving forward. My DS is also in band and just joined a soccer team where one or two of the boys may go to his school, so maybe that will also help.
