They are a great choice--native and evergreen.

No, the picture is a waxleaf privet. My neighbor put up a whole row of them. They don't make berries.

You are entirely incorrect. Google up the pictures of the two bushes and you'll see the difference. It's not like I posted a picture that didn't have the name of the bush associated with it. Also, that holly bush will never work as a privacy hedge. It's a completely different plant.

Inkberry's used in the DMV all the time and will have a better chance at thriving than a "japonica" that's planted in texas.
