Affording Private Schools

we are on the "dark side"...inside the beltway, but in MD....we are looking at a couple of Catholic Schools, Grace Episcopal (ultimately too expensive for us and still under the 20k mark), Friends Community....
I get the impression that not many of the DCUM's are in MD, but we bought here purposely to be able to afford other things in life. We could not have afforded NW or the Bethesda area at all...it is a struggle and if DH and I needed to cut 10k from expenses, it would probably be no nanny and all day care...but truly, not sure how we would do it.
