A large percentage of my law school class seems not to be doing law

When I went to law school back in the 1980s, I remember a pseudo-statistic bandied about that the average tenure of practicing law was under 15 years. I moved out of the straight lawyer-client relationship at around that time - even as an in-house lawyer. I moved from a Counsel's office to something more operational but still involving legal analysis. It happens more frequently than many might imagine.
