Italian weather in the summer

Italian summers are lovely, sometimes hotter than others - but its more of a dry heat. Humidity isn't really an issue. If you can survive a DC summer you'll be delighted by an Italian one, even without air conditioning. Sea breezes on the coasts, too.

The difference between July in DC and July in Rome is that you don't spend July in DC wandering around the Mall all day.
